Anna writes that training is back to normal this weekend. Circuits are Friday night in Santry stadium at 7pm with John. Running is at 9.45am in the Phoenix Park on Saturday morning, this will be split into two groups, beginners/intermediates and advanced. Swimming is with Shane on Monday night in Westwood Clontarf. Advanced group is at 7pm and beginners/intermediates at 7.50pm - all are welcome. Spinning continues with Scott on a Wednesday evening at 8.30pm in Westwood Leopardstown (?5 for members/?7.50 for non-members) Is anyone interested in going out on a weekly basis with a beginners cycling group? - if you are let me know and if numbers permit we will try and get something sorted.

The agenda for the Get Set for Tri Day has been set (see below). If possible, we would like as many of the more experienced triathletes (ie completed a couple of races, sprint and/or Olympic) to come along and help out, answer questions etc.

9.30am Registration & Intro (Westwood reception area)
10am Slow, easy cycle (up the coast road)
12pm Q&A session on:
  • training for a sprint/Olympic distance triathlon
  • triathlon equipment & clothing
  • race format
  • the Irish Triathlon Calendar
  • nutrition
  • info on Tsunami triathlon club
2pm Short Easy Run
3pm Swim theory workshop
4pm Swim technique sessions (likely to be 2 groups of 1 hour sessions depending on numbers)
6pm Wrap Up
