Dublin City Marathon

Congrats to everyone who completed the Dublin City Marathon.

Gary Crossan was the fastest Tsunami member home and fastest of the Irish in a time of 2:24. Right are Tadhg Sullivan and Mary Horgan, bouncing their way to the finish. Jim Gilmartin, Elena Maslova and Alan Vale, Gavin Duffy, Adrian Copeland and Stephen Weinmann all completed the marathon, together with a slew of national series triathletes...

Gary Crossan: 2:24
Elena Maslova: 3:27
Mary Horgan: 3:39
Gavin Duffy: 3:45
Adrian Copeland: 3:49
Stephen Weinmann: 3:49
Tadhg Sullivan: 3:57
Ronan Brady: 4:02

Anyone know the other's times and who's writing the race report? :-)

Sincere thanks for all the support we got out there! It was fantastic. I have to say the support we got from triathletes from other clubs too was brillant. Belpark, 3DTri & Pulse were all out and shouting us on.

I know Jim did 3hrs. 53mins. Well done!
Elaina - what mad time did you do?

Thanks again guys. No doubt it will be an even bigger Tsunami gang next year. Don't think this will be my first and last one!

Three new enough members to Tsunami finished the marathon too, with a good bit of help from the tsunami crew 5 miles from home might i add! I really enjoyed it, maybe could have done with a bit of rain a few miles out!, but i can safely say i'll be doing it again. The crowd were brilliant around the place and really helped with the last few miles, our times were:

Gavin Duffy 3:45
Adrian Copeland 3:49
Stephen Weinmann 3:49

Yeah Ray; I can confirm that I gave the marathon a go alright. It was my first marathon and I walked it with a mate. It took us about 7hrs20mins. I guess that it is really good base training, cos' it's long, slow and easy. It gave me a great appreciation of what exactly 26 miles means & I can only wonder at what stuff ironmen are made of. I take my hat off to all those who ran it. Concrete is so unforgiving. It is a mean feat. Well done! Special mention to Mary and Jim., i hope you are both thrilled with your times!!
