Racing Gear

Anyone competing last year couldn't but have noticed the visual impact the Tsunami gang made with the club racing gear. Piranha are going to be doing the same for the racing season 2005.

Last year we went with tops and people bought their own shorts. This year, many have asked for one piece racing suits. We would hope to get therefore both one pieces and tops.

We are working on finalising a few things i.e. design, brand, cost (that's just a sample on the right) but as time is running short, we need to have an indication of numbers...

Cost will depend on a number of factors and as yet we can't give an estimate but last year the tops cost €35 and I would expect an all in one would be approx. €70.

I need to know therefore the following:
A) are you interested in club racing gear?
B) would you prefer an all in one or a top and shorts?

I appreciate it is difficult to make a decision without seeing an image of what it may look like and also not knowing price but seriously think about getting either an all in one or top and shorts as they make the most sense under the wet suit and are comfortable to wear on the bike & we'll look great in them come the races!

Put up a message here on the site answering the 2 questions above. We will need an indication of numbers by Wednesday, 18 May.

I'll buy gear.

I think I'ld be more partial to the all in one, but I've never actually worn one. Hoping to get rid of my reverse belly top tan.

All in ones are all good. I have the original Tsunami suit at home made my Newline which is a 1 piece and I still wear it the odd time...very pratical and comfortable.

Count me in for 1 all in one.

Hi,

a) Yes please
b) Shorts and top that aren't black. I'm still suffering from Lough Neigh in the heat.
Any idea when we'll get them by?

Jeremy

On the two questions:
- yes I want the new club gear
- I'd rather the tri suit.
thanks

I'm in on the club gear.

Either is good, but would prefer 2 piece -- to better show-off my sexy midriff.

Count me in for the all in one.

I'd be interested in the 2 piece if it's not a trikini type top.

Tony.

yes please...and definitely an all in one...no comparison in comfort, not to mention reduced drag!

Anna don't talk to us about reduced Drag! I'm not racing in Drag this year - I've seen the effects that drag can have when Jim went swimming in Amandas bikini!

Count me in for a one piece.

I have the top plus shorts from last year and while they're not a bad combination, I think that a one piece will be more practical and comfortable.

Ta,
Frank.

My preference at the moment is for no weggie top and shorts but i'm basing this on zero experience wearing a one piece. Would like to get my hands on a one piece before deciding.

A) I'll buy club gear.
B) Tough decision on one-piece or top/shorts! Even though I'd be a bit dubious about one-pieces(!), if I had to make a call, I'd be on for giving 'em a try out.

PS if it's top/shorts we do go for in the end, I reckon steer clear of 1/2-length tops (trikinis?) - verging towards Drag for the guys!

I'm definitely in for the gear. My preference is for top and shorts but I wouldn't have a problem with a one piece (I think!)
