I'd like to thank everyone who has volunteered to help out for the Dublin City Triathlon. All the preparations are going really well. The final push is all that is required. You will be the difference between a good race and a great race.
On Race Morning all volunteers must head to the Garda Boat Club on Chapelizod Road first, and must sign the Triathlon Ireland volunteer form at Registration, before collecting a jam packed Goody Bag...
On site preparation will start on Thursday Evening, but most of the preparations will happen all day Friday. If you can help out for a few hours then that would be great.
On Race Day volunteers will be on site as early as 5am sorting out parking amongst other things. If you cant sleep because you are so excited about helping out, why not just get out of bed and head straight to the Garda Boat Club.
All volunteers must arrive at 7:45am at the latest for the Marshal Briefing. We would encourage all active club members to arrive as early as possible (~6am or earlier). If non club members can make it by 7:30am to help with regsitration, then that would be excellent.
The Race, of course, will be the main event. After the race, the clean-up will start. It was all done and dusted by 5pm last year. This year with everyones helping, we have we are hoping to get it all sorted by 4:30pm
Mobile phones will be used extensively as a means of communication, please ensure that yours is fully charged on the day. I'm sure the weather will be great, but as this is Ireland, nothing can be guaranteed, so please bring clothes for all weather, and dont forget the sun cream.

Thursday 7pm - Assembbling A-Frames for Bike Racks.
Friday 2:00pm - Setting up course/registration
Friday 5:30pm - Registration Setup
Friday 6:00pm - Registration
Friday 9:00pm - Registration Finish
Friday 9:15pm - Close up shop
Saturday 5:00am - Initial race day preperation.
Saturday 7:30am - Registration
Saturday 7:45am - Volunteer Briefing
Saturday 8:00am - Registration Finish
Saturday 9:00am - Race Starts
Saturday 2:00pm - Clean Up Starts
Saturday 4:30pm - Clean Up Finishes
Saturday 9:30pm - Party starts in the Odeon.
