The 29th annual Ballycotton 10 mile is coming up on March 5th. There are over 4200 entries, an increase of 50% on last year's biggest race ever. Looking through the race line-up in the entry booklet it looks like there will be a healthy representation from the triathlon scene.

For those of you wondering how so many people will start on a 4 metre wide laneway, just bear in mind that the pub down the road from the finish line does excellent pints of Murphys (remember, this is Cork like). Since the race doesn't start until 1:30pm on Sunday, a number of us are considering taking the following Monday morning off work and making a full weekend of it...

If you're interested, or have any opinions on how to make the most of the weekend post your comments.
