Well done to everyone who ran the Ballycotton 10 mile road race at the weekend. Over 2800 runners completed the race, with many triathletes among the competitors. There were some high placing triathlete results, with Eamonn Horgan of Limerick Triathlon Club placing 20th and Trevor Woods (our cycling coach from last year's warm weather training) coming home in 30th place.
It was a narrow start and we had a heavy hail shower early in the race. However, runners spread out after the first mile, the sun began to shine and things were looking up. There was great support on the course and, despite the big numbers, everything ran smoothly. One to consider for next year...
