All,

the help is required in two parts.
On Saturday the 3rd at 6pm meeting at the Garda Boat Club we require 5 strong men/women to help buil transition, put cones in place, place signs on the barriers and ready the table, tent etc for quick setup on Sunday morning.

So far we have Ray, Derm, Don,Brian K for Saturday...can two more people email me to say that they will be there..should only take 2 hrs.

On Sunday morning the 4th of June the first race kicks off at 8am. This means we need registration to open at 7am and helpers/marshals in pace at 7:30am..sharp.

I am going to give each corner 2 lead marshals...see below for your name...the race this year will go past each corner so you will get a good look at the race....rest of marshals will be allocated on the day to either run course/water or junctions

Papal Cross Round-about on Chesterfield road - Jen Stopford & Cillian Balfe
Mountjoy Square - Gavin Duffy & James T O Connell
The Ordinance Survey Rd Junction with Furze Road - Michael Grimes & Jeremy Crisp
Transition - Derm O Neill & Paj
Water - Lucy O Neill & Julia
Registration - Fergal Coen & Matt Coughlan
Static Draft Marshals - Daithi & Brian Kelly & Ray O Neill

Read on...

I know some of you, and there are others also, do not have a specific location. Depending on the turnout on the day we will allocate the remaining marshals on the morning. Now using the buddy system please can you ring your buddy, sleep with them if you have to!, but try to make sure both of you are there at 7:30am latest. All marshals will meet at the back of the registration tent where they must sign the volunteers sign-on sheet for insurance and collect a bright bib. The static draft marshals need to synchronise watches and also need to bring pen/paper (clip board might be handy).

Registration will be the responsibility of Fergal Coen and Matt Coughlan. Fergal can you follow up with Matt re getting the tent/table and maybe some chairs in place by 7am. Any problems give me a shout. Might be best to have both in car so collection on Saturday can be arranged at 6pm. They fold up.

If you are talking with anyone who didn't get this mail and would like to help out on day then please email me back. I will post same up on the PiranhaTri Website. I would like to thank you for volunteering. Usually its not such a bad day and with all the money going to charity you get to feel very good about yourself when the day is done. We should be all finished by 1pm. Some bodies needs to file away the racks etc...but we can work that out there and then.

Any questions drop me mail or call me.
