Irishtown Track Work

Monday nights training has moved on to track work and repetition running.
Here is a breakdown of the expected pace and recovery times for the initial intervals:
- Experienced athletes; 8 x 1000m - heart rate @ ~160bpm continous. 3 minute jog recovery between.
- Intermediate athletes; 6x 800m - heart rate @ ~160bpm continous. 3 minute jog recovery between.
- Beginners; 5 x 500m - heart rate @ ~160bpm. 5 minute jog recovery between.
Dynamic stretches or hurdle excercises will be included as part of the warm up and cool down.

Irishtown Stadium is an athletics stadium run by Dublin City Council just off the Irishtown Road and within walking distance of Sandymount, Ballsbridge and The Point. The stadium features an 8 lane international standard running track, which Piranha use for our club track sessions. For further information check out the dublincity.ie website.
