Raheny Shamrocks AC are running a road racing series in the coming months. This would be a good opportunity for anyone wanting to introduce some competition pace speed work into their run training. There website is www.rahenyshamrock.com, and further details are below.

LORD MAYOR SERIES & MID SUMMER 5K
THE Annual Lord Mayor 2 Mile road race series kicks off on Tuesday, May 29th. There will be six races in total with the series concluding on Tuesday, July 31 with the 3rd annual Peter Doody road race. All the races which are held on the 'Winter League' course beginning at 8pm. The entry fee is €5 per race for €20 for the full series. Entries taken on the night (before 7.30) in the clubhouse.

Round 1 Tuesday, May 29
Round 2 Tuesday, June 12
Round 3 Tuesday, June 26
Round 4 Tuesday, July 3rd
Round 5, Tuesday, July 17
Round 6, Tuesday, July 31 (Peter Doody Race)
The Jim Wall 3 mile Handicap road race which is not part of the series takes place on Tuesday, August 28 at 8pm.
3rd ANNUAL MID-SUMMER 5K ON JUNE 24TH
THIS year's 3rd annual Mid Summer 5k road race will be sponsored by Permanent TSB for the first time. The club are grateful to Permanent TSB for their generous support for the race which will be held in St Anne's Park on Sunday, June 24th.
Entry Fee is €10 and there will be a memento to all finishers. There will be a generous list of prizes in all the categories.
