Technical Delegate and Race Referee Course
Triathlon Ireland (TI) are running a Technical Delegates and Referee training course next Saturday (29th March) at Westpark Fitness in Tallaght from 11 – 4pm. Lunch is provided. If anyone would like to go to this and is available there are places from Piranha available. Contact details are below.
The course is intended to equip people with a firm foundation in the skills and knowledge that are required in order to organise and officiate at Triathlons. Topic areas covered include the legal basis and powers of race officials, how to structure a triathlon event safely and general TI race regulations.
Going on the course is the first step toward becoming an accredited race official. The course provides a route through which you can make a skilled contribution back to the sport whilst at the same time broadening your race organisation abilities.
To recognise the important input that qualified Technical Delegates/Referees make TI are offering the following benefits:
* qualified referees are eligible to receive guaranteed pre-entry to a number of races on the race calendar.
* a universal voucher (money!!) to the value of 50 euro per event.
The sport has grown strongly in the last year and a need for qualified people has accompanied that. If you think you might be interested and are willing to help out a little please do attend.
