I’ve had a word with the man above and he promises some sunshine on Sunday. So let’s head to Wicklow again. Do bring a rain jacket just in case, wear your overshoes and carry bars, bananas or gels to get you home, some money for coffee and a spare inner tube with levers.
Group 1, beginners, about 60k. I will lead out.
Westwood Clontarf to Rathfarnam (option to join there), up Stocking Lane to the car park. Continue on to the Glencree turn and descend into Enniskerry for coffee. Home via Stepaside, Dundrum and along the canal.
Group 2 and 3 (Inter and Advanced) about 80k. Peter and one more, depending on numbers, will lead out.
Same as group 1 except instead of the Glencree turnoff, continue to Sally Gap crossroads. Go left, down and then up over Lough Tay before descending again and back to Enniskerry. Same as above re coffee, cake and home.
Aim to be at Westwood for 8:45am for a 9am start or 9:30am at the Yellow House in Rathfarnam
