Dear Piranhas,
The Committee is seeking applications for the position of Race Director for Dublin City Triathlon for 2015. This is a paid position that involves liaising with all relevant parties and ensuring race day is a success for all athletes.
In 2012 and 2013, DCT was voted as race of the year – our fingers are crossed for 2014, after another great race! – and we wish to continue to build on this success.
Anyone interested in the role should send an email to me at clubsecretary@piranhatri.com outlining the role they have played in organising DCT in the past or any other experience they have in organising such large events. Please indicate your interest before 5pm on Friday, 3rd October 2014.
Please also note that the successful applicant MUST be a fully paid up member of both Piranha Triathlon Club and Triathlon Ireland in order to be in a position to seek to agree the date for the 2015 Race and its status as a National Series and/or National Championship event in October/November when TI commence the scheduling of races for 2015.
Once the 2015 DCT Race Director has been appointed, the Committee will, in conjunction with the successful candidate, seek applications for the position of Assistant Race Director.
