    Ok Noobie-town

here is the final list – no more monkeys accepted

    1. John WA Lyons
    2. John’s mate Debbie
    3. Lorraine
    4. Aidan
    5. Marie
    6. Fiona
    7. Gordon
    8. John W’s wife
    9. Clo
    10. Urusala
    11. Justin
    12. Orla of the many ghost posts
    13. Donna Siobhan

So at the moment I have enough help to support the above (Phil S, Niamh Tucker and some provisionals) – however, if any of these drop out – I will cut the list to maintain the ratio I am comfortable with. This will be communicated via the site.

    Rules of engagement

    1) Only people who have been swimming consistently for the last 2 months are accepted – i.e. 1-2 a week in WW/UCD since start of March – shows a required degree of swimming competence.
    2) No wetsuit – no swim ….. pack the bikinis/speedos away kids – another time perhaps.
    3) All to be ready to go for 5pm – no excuses – the only tardiness I allow is my own.
    4) All are to address me as Sir Steven the incumbent Ironman club record holder when speaking to me [Yes Will Owens I am milking it while I can – your time in the sun will come]
    5) Be nice to your volunteers – we are giving up our free time and nothing says I appreciate you more than a new Porche 911
    http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-reviews/porsche/porsche-911-gt3-rs-2015-review/
    5) My word is final … no-one drowns on my watch … no-one…. (mental note to self must keep watch – don’t want any other Noobie-gate like 2005)

    Lots of love and cuddles

    Steven [The boss of you]

I’ll be down for a splash Steven – first of the year and can help out. The ‘sir’ thing won’t be happening

    Hello folks.
    Nice day for a swim!
Reminder – meet at 16:40, and be in the water at 17:00 sharp.
Bring your wetsuits, body glide and a couple hats the keep the head warm.
Some warm clothes for after and money for a kanoodle.

    See you later

Thanks to my not so beautiful (or bright) assistant ….

So yes for noobies – you need to be ready for da swimming at 17:00 ….

For the better looking, more experienced and generally cooler non-noonbies …. ready to swim at 16:30 ….

Yes to body glide! Yes to wetsuits! Yes to warm clothes!

    No to speedos!

Maybe to mankinis (under wetsuit or as a tasty kanoodle outfit only)

Thanks, Steven – great organisation and a great session. Thanks to the volunteers. We should do it again. Like all Piranha outings, it was good fun.
