    Hello All,

As today was club race day with many members racing / socialising tonight – Group 1 and Group 2/3 Option 1 will be self-lead. Therefore please study the route before turning up in the morning!!!!!

Groups 1 meeting at Westwood at 8.20am for an 8.30am departure.
    Group 2/3 – Option 1 – meeting at Westwood at 8.20am for a 8.30am departure
Groups 2/3 – Option 2 – meeting at the Papal Cross at 8.20am for an 8.30am departure

Group 1 – 66Km – Malahide, Sallowood View, Ballyboughal – No Bike Lead – Route HERE
Group 2/3 Option 1 – 73Km – Malahide, Sallowood View, Naul, Ballyboughal (Same as G1 except for climb into and back from Naul) – No Bike Lead– Route HERE
Group 2/3 Option 2 – 75Km – Dublin 70.3 Route – Meet group at Papal Cross – Bike Lead Martina

    Please remember good bike discipline:

** There is one cycle lead – and that person is responsible for the route.
** Tight two by two groups, with regular up-and-overs and with a single-file transition are the hallmarks of a disciplined cycle group. No “half wheeling”!
** Each group has a target average speed – this should be maintained. Surges in speed (lead from the front) leads to a dragging-out of the group and members get left behind.
** Traffic lights must be obeyed – pedestrian and traffic!
** Groups should not break-up on the flat. If they do, then they should re-group as soon as reasonably practicable.

    Have a great cycle.

    Bernard
