    Hi all

2018 has started with the expected excitement for the tri-season ahead.

Given that swim sessions are being well attended, we would like to remind you all about the Piranha housekeeping rules when it comes to swim etiquette:

    1. Punctuality – turn up on time. Warm up or miss out. Training will start exactly when it is scheduled to start (7am weekdays, 8:15am on Saturdays). Turning up 5 – 10 minutes late to a session disrupts your (by then warmed up) fellow tri-mates and the start of the swim sets. It is also not good training for race day (we appreciate that the January mornings are dark!).

    2. Count to 5 – leave space between you and the next swimmer. Yes, drafting is great when racing but this is not always the case when training. Please leave 5 seconds between each swimmer when pushing off the wall into a swim round. Looking at the clock to time yourself is also much more efficient than pressing the “start/stop” button on your watch…

    3. Go the full 50m – let each person finish their length. Please move to one side of the lane when you finish your swim round / length (we appreciate this isn’t always possible when lanes are full).

    Keep up the training!

    Thanks
    Rachel
