Piranha Memorial Run

Piranha giving back

The Piranha Memorial Run is hosted every November in St. Anne’s Park, Dublin. Typically this is on the same day as our end of year awards night making it a Super Saturday!

The memorial run is organised by the club to honour members who have passed away and to raise funds for charity, divided equally between the Irish Cancer Society and the Karen Fenton Ovarian Cancer Fund.

It’s a great club day out for members, family and friends. Done alongside and with Parkrun Ireland, we always ask that as many members of Piranha as possible come along either to run or to marshal in St. Anne’s Parkrun. It’s one of two days we ask members to give back to the club, the other being DCT of course! There is a prize giving as well as tea, coffee and scones organised at the Red Stables after the race.

In memory of John Davis the male race winner receive a trophy named in his honour and in memory of Karen Fenton the female winner receive the Karen Fenton trophy, there will also be a few unorthodox prizes given out on the day.
