Last year we trialed a Piranha Team in the IMRA Wicklow Way Relay and it was great craic, so opening it up to members forum to give it a go.
It’s on Saturday 23 May, 2015 (day before Lough Cutra) and a team is considered any group of 8 with at least 2 ladies and 2 vets (over 40)
Leg distances vary between 8km to 21km trails:
Leg 1 Kilmashogue to Curtlestown 14km
Leg 2 Curtlestownto Lough Tay 14km
Leg 3 Lough Tayto Oldbridge 8km
Leg 4 Oldbridge to Glendalough 10km
Leg 5 Glendalough to Drumgoff 13km
Leg 6 Drumgoff to Iron Bridge 13km
Leg 7 Iron Bridge to Cross Bridge, Tinahely 21km
Leg 8 Tinahely to Shillelagh 9km
Commitment required
– Half Day/ Evening beforehand to travel down and do a recce of your leg (mandatory as you will get lost on race day – just ask Moody!)
– 20 EUR (10 for IMRA membership & 10 for race)
– Half Day on Race Day to travel down and participate
