We have organised an OWS training session for our New-to-Tri and Improver athletes or any athletes looking for some valuable tips from our experienced OWS coach – Mark Waters. This might also be useful for anyone considering racing over the next few months (should races still go ahead).
If you plan on attending the session, please ensure you sign-in. This session is limited to 20 people.
When: The session will be held at 4pm this Sunday, 26th July.
Where: Bull Wall, Dollymount Strand.
What will be covered?
– Gear: minding your goggles, hats and safety etc
– How to put a wetsuit on properly
– Sighting, drafting and turning buoys
– Warm-up: do’s and don’ts
– Gentle swim
– Few starts
– Small group work
What to bring:
Warm clothes for before & after (hats, gloves etc. are essential)
Trisuit or Swimsuit (+rash vest if you have one)
Swim Hat x2
Body Glide &/or Suit Juice
Gloves (light wool gloves / running gloves / cycling gloves / gardening glovers – basically anything that will stop you putting your nails through your suit)
(Note: If you don’t have it all, bring what you have!)
