Now that the Christmas celebrations are over its time to get back to it and begin the pre-season training! The focus for this month will be to get out running again and to build up some base fitness.
The Tri season is still some time away and to help focus the mind in the short term the Raheny 5 mile road race (8 Km) is a great event to kick off the year and help push you through the doom and gloom of January training! The race is one of the best attended in the country with an expected turn out of over 3,000 athletes including some of our best international runners competing for the honours! Coach Maria a three time winner of the event herself will whip us into shape over the next few weeks, so try make it to the run sessions or follow her running plan!
Track is back Thursday 3rd of January in Ringsend. See you there!
