Calling all Piranhas – time to get biking!!!

Cycle Induction Course with Ian Cassidy – Week 1 – Papal Cross, Phoenix Park at 9.00am. 2 hour session.

    Groups 1, 2 and 3 – meet at Westwood at 8.50am for a 9.00am departure

Group 1 – Gentle Hill Repeats – Sutton side of Howth – John Lyons and Trish Eadie
Group 2 – Northside Spin – Bike Lead Rob Keenan. 66km – Malahide, Sallowood View, Ballyboughal. See route HERE
Group 3 – Northside Spin – Bike lead Tom McEnery. 84km – Ashbourne, Garristown, Ballyboughal, Malahide See route HERE

Groups 2 and 3, our group cycling discipline is POOR! It must improve!
** There is one cycle lead – and that person is responsible for the route. If you want to have a say in the routes, then become a cycle lead and join a meeting to be held in Westwood on Wednesday, 8th March. (More details will be published later)
** Tight two by two groups, with regular up-and-overs and with a single-file transition are the hallmarks of a disciplined cycle group. This needs to be observed
** Each group has a target average speed – this should be maintained. Surges in speed (lead from the front) leads to a dragging-out of the group and members get left behind. Please do not do this.

Have a great cycle on Sunday.
