The committee would like to acknowledge some of the fine work our members have been doing on behalf of the club, as such we are celebrating our volunteers of the month for July, August & September!
In July and throughout the run up to DCT Lauren Hughes became the voice and face of DCT social media account, this time intensive work promoting our race was key to its success and we would like to thank Lauren for all she has done.
In August Declan Connolly responded to a request via Triathlon Ireland looking for a host for an elite Swiss athlete who was coming to race (and subsequently win!) DCT. Declan was quick to selflessly offer his abode and in doing so further enhanced the reputation we have in this club for being so welcoming and accommodating.
Rob Frewan offered his time and running expertise in acting as a guide for our visually impaired para-athlete member David on the track last month and is our volunteer of the month for September. Kudos Rob!
All the small things like this ad up to make the club a great place to be and it could not happen without people like Lauren, Declan and Rob. Our volunteers will receive a One4All voucher as a token of our appreciation.
Our club is entirely volunteer dependant and could not continue without members helping with the day to day activities. Thank you again to all our club members who help out!
