The Club committee would like to acknowledge some of the brilliant work that our members have been doing on behalf of the club.

The Piranha “Spring Break” training camp has been a huge event on the Club calendar for many years; creating club camaraderie, lifelong friendships and legendary stories. We were delighted to see the Easter training camp return again this year. Nearly 50 Piranhas made their way to Dungarvan for a long weekend of swimming, cycling, running and yoga (and some partying!). This could not have happened without the organising sub-committee of Brian Stanley, Tony O’Grady and John Clarke who all gave up their time to plan and arrange the weekend. Planning for this weekend starts six months out and a huge amount of work and energy goes into both the planning stage and ensuring everything runs smoothly over the weekend. All the great things like this training weekend could not happen without people like Brian, Tony and John in the club and it epitomises the brilliant Club spirit that we are very lucky to have. Also shout out to our social team (Enda, Séan and Sinéad) who ensured the fourth discipline was well taken care of throughout the weekend with the hard-fought camp quiz night and our camp awards night on Sunday night. Well done also to all the members who travelled to Dungarvan and gave it socks!

Brian, John and Tony will each receive a voucher as a token of the Club’s appreciation.

Our Club is entirely volunteer-led and could not continue without members helping with the day to day activities. Thanks again to all our club members who help out! If anyone wants to get more involved in Club volunteering, get in touch!

    Thanks, Adele 🙂
