Weekend Report – 22nd, 23rd & 24th August

With almost every Piranha on DCT duty it was a quiet weekend results wise:

DCT – a slightly damp course awaited the few Piranha’s that took part on Sunday.
Olympic Results:
Conall Murphy 9th overall
John Wallnutt 2nd in AG

Well done to super sprint finishers Phillip McCann, Petrina Mulroe & Margraret Wallnut

Finally the Cat 1 racers:
Anthony Mulholland, Johnathan Maguire & Richard Doyle

Monday –
A glorious (and dry) evening awaited the Piranhas who took part in the Pulse Aquathon (race 3)
It was a fantastioc double for the club with Emeric Salery & Rachel Hayes winning…
Also Roger Rice 3rd was in 40+ cat and some solid top 5’s & 10’s for other Pirnahas

Worth noting that Roger Rice was 2nd overall and 2nd Vet in the overall race series!

And that Rachel Hayes is the fastest female solicitor swimmer/runner in all of Ireland winning the Solictors aquathon champs!

Also at the Pulse Aquathon:

Tom McEnery was 2nd in the Male category and Tara Whyte was 3rd in the female

Roger Rice was 2nd in the male category for the series

There were 7 Piranha’s (or at least there were 7 wearing piranha colours) in the top 10.

And Stephen Moody was very loud and very annoying throughout the night… Nothing new there though….

Not that it happens very often, but it was actually 1st overall in the VET (older man category) 🙂 We did quieten Moody down for a little while anyway 😉
