Had the same issue as you and the others, after about two years in the pool. Unlike Ronan I don’t do drugs so use a Nose clip. works well for me. A few different types out there so you may have to experiment.

If yo keep with it you eventually get in. I got in at 8:27 and completed at 8:33.

Wheel works had a deal a few days ago – wheel, blue trax tyre, wheel lining, 10speed cogs and maybe a skewer for about 110. checkout their website.
