Piranha x SpatzWear

March 30, 2026 Leave your thoughts Posted under

We are proud that for 2026 we have partnered with SpatzWear to bring you shiny new club gear. Some members have expressed that the current kit from Austral is not meeting expected quality standards. The Committee has considered this and agreed to switch Piranha kit to Spatzwear, which offers a higher level of quality, durability, and performance for members.

FAQs on ordering and more below:

Delivery:

Spatzwear manages the full delivery process for bulk orders. Instead of shipping all items to a single location for collection, each member’s order is delivered directly to their home address, making the process more convenient for everyone.

Within the order windows, there is no extra cost to the individual for shipping to their home address. Shipping, duty, taxes etc. are covered within the price of the product.

Orders outside of bulk order windows will be picked every two weeks.

How to Order:

Spatzwear will open dedicated ordering windows twice per year (typically in March and October). Each window will run for two weeks and includes a bulk order discount for members.

Outside of these periods, a basic online shop will remain open for individual orders, but these will not include the bulk discount (the bulk discount is significant as the price for a tri-suit will be around €100 more expensive outside the ordering window).

Price:

In previous years, the club has subsidised the cost of kit for members. Unfortunately, this is not possible this year due to budget constraints.

Initially we will keep both the new Spatzwear store and the existing Austral store. Members who prefer Austral can still order directly or can organise their own bulk orders, which typically achieve around a 10% discount.

In general, individual Austral items may be slightly cheaper than Spatzwear. However, when ordering during the Spatz bulk ordering windows, the discounted pricing means Spatzwear is typically more competitive than Austral.

How long will delivery take?

Spatzwear custom orders will take approximately six weeks. At the end of the bulk ordering window, Spatzwear will manufacture and then it will be delivered directly from England. Once the kit has been produced (just under 6 weeks), each member will receive tracking details for their final delivery.

Sizing:

Spatzwear provides detailed sizing guides and has a consistent, performance-focused fit. We will share all relevant sizing information with members to help with selection.

We are also receiving kit samples next week and will look to organise a try-on session so members can check sizing in person before ordering.

FAQs

Female / Male specific fits?

Yes, the products that display gender specific fits are shown on the product pages.

What is the difference between the PRO and FASTA Jersey?

The PRO Jersey is a ‘club’ fitting jersey, meaning it is more relaxed than the FASTA option. The FASTA jersey is a close-fitting / high-end jersey.

What is the difference between the PRO and FASTA Shorts?

The fit between the two are similar, but the fabrics on the FASTA are more premium. The FASTA shorts also feature a seamless gripper (for comfort). Both pads are medium density, medium thickness pads – but the fit of the pad on the FASTA shorts allows you to be more comfortable when in an aerodynamic position.

Are there any extra costs to deliver to my home address?

Within the order window, there are no extra shipping, duty or tax costs. Spatzwear covers these costs within the product.

Design:

We will look at evolving the design of the Piranha kit for the winter bulk order window (likely to be around October) but wanted the gear to be ready for this year’s season. A survey will follow in the summer to get members’ feedback and ideas on new design.
