This Sunday, we are mixing it up a little for Group2/3 and heading southside. Group 1 are staying northside.

Group 1 will be meeting at Westwood at 8.50am for a 9.00am departure. Will be doing a route (approx 50/60km) with Bike Lead John Lyons – heading northwards
Group 2 will be meeting at
Yellow House at Rathfarnham at 8.50am for a 9.00am departure. Depending on weather, route (approx 50-60km) will be towards Blessington with Bike Lead Brianne Mulvihill
Group 2 will be meeting at Yellow House at Rathfarnham at 8.50am for a 9.00am departure. Depending on weather, route (approx 70-80km) will be towards Blessington with Bike Lead David O’Shea

Note: If you are heading out on the club spin, please wear some sort of high-vis jacket/gilet to ensure you are visible to all drivers on the road.

    ** Group 1: 22-24kph
    ** Group 2: 24 -26kph
    ** Group 3: 26-28kph

As always, please remember good bike discipline while out on a club spin:
** There is one cycle lead – and that person is responsible for the route.
** Tight two by two groups, with regular up-and-overs and with a single-file transition are the hallmarks of a disciplined cycle group. No “half wheeling”!
** Each group has a target average speed – this should be maintained. Surges in speed (lead from the front) leads to a dragging-out of the group and members get left behind.
** Traffic lights must be obeyed – pedestrian and traffic!
** Groups should not break-up on the flat. If they do, then they should re-group as soon as reasonably practicable.

    Directions to the Yellow House:
If cycling from Northside to Yellow House it is suggested that you take the cycle path along the path from Grand Canal Street to Harolds Cross. Alternative is to drive to Rathfarnham and leave car in the village.
