Thanks for the vocal and colourful support earlier – it was nice to see familiar faces all along the route. Well done to all participating – plenty to be proud of today.

I’d echo what John said. Despite the utterly miserable conditions, everyone I saw diligently did their task and never flagged in encouraging participants. As a competitor, I have to say it is a hugely impressive event in every way (and people I spoke to were aware of how much thought went into the day). Well done Gav (van G., not Moysie!), Dara and all others involved and thanks for the support.

Congrats to Anthony, third overall in Carlow today! Despite all the time he spends as our training co-ordinator (not to mention his real – life job!), he finds time to be a pretty handy triathlete. Plenty of happy Piranha faces after some good performances today (Declan C., Dan Murphy among others).

Great idea – have plenty of extraneous (I mean, really useful!) stuff to trade and haven’t bought any new gear for a while!

Thanks, guys. Little Hugh is doing well, apart from confusing day with night! Would love to get him into the pool at a young age, channelling all those random arm and leg movements!

Will the meeting point by and large not be determined by the route? In which case, maybe varying the routes between northside, Wicklow and Kildare \ Meath would be a good way of accommodating all members? Once people know the route, they could be join along the way. Frank K makes some good suggestions above for starting points!

UCD might be a good location for heading anywhere southward and would presumably have plenty of parking on Sunday?

Otherwise, it would be helpful to know the proposed route, duration, any contingencies (e.g. weather) etc. in advance where possible.

As regards sessions (assuming they’re different to spins!), Corkagh Park would seem to be the most suitable place.

    Best of Luck, Casso!

I have a spare pullbuoy (Arena, which seem to be smaller than other makes) if anyone needs one, just shout and it’s yours!

I could drop it into Westwood.
