    John,

I have a pair of Chain cycling shoes, in the box, never worn. They are size 43. If they might suit give me a shout.

Thanks for your thoughts Mark. Yep, always pump and check tyres for any issues before I head out for a spin.

My pump lost out badly in a battle with the rear wheel of my car so before I invest in a replacement I wanted to check if it was worth making the effort to get a compact one that would be easy to transport if I wanted/needed to use it overseas.

    Tadhg,

I’d be interested in this. However, I am pretty tied up for most of August (triathlon, weddings & holidays) so it would probably be the first week in September before I would be able to make Maria’s training sessions. I have been doing a good bit of running so hopefully I won’t be too far off my target pace.

AS regards the fitness test, I’d be keen to do that and see where I’m at.

    Keep us posted,
    Paddy.

I would also greatly appreciate an intermediate spot if there was one going.

Yes, I plan on heading along. Really looking forward to it – I have never swam anywhere before, it has always been out and back or around in circles! Hopefully the weather will be reasonable.

I also gave the 4km a bash. I thought it was a well organised event – very enjoyable. Weather was incredible. I’ll defiantly look out for it again next year.

I’m aiming to make tonight’s session if the weather remains reasonable. Is there a particular set to get through or does it just depend on what people want to do on the night?
