Lads our very own Ian Cassidy is a retul specialised bike fitter and from the feedback of the more experienced lads – he does an amazing job.

If I were you – I would definitely have a chat with him to see what he could do.

I will make him aware of the thread and he can contact you lot directly

Unfortunately not around on Sat am due to away training day – but bon voyage Laura – will miss you cheery smile in the morning post swim – no matter what pain Jack/Kris had inflicted on us just minutes previous!

Without railroading the thread, would this be the place to ask if anyone can give me the benefits of a two-piece tri suit? Would you not just get the drafty back on bike / exposed belly on run business?

Also, great call on the running singlet. Great addition.

Some of us athletes are happy to show the six pack Mr Gearoid ….

And aside from that the main benefits of a two piece are
    1) Easier to pee/poo (useful in an IM/HIM if wrestling around in a portaloo)
    2) Less constrictive feeling on the run

I have used a two piece a couple of times now and did not feel it was any less comfortable than the trisuit in terms of drafty on the back etc.

Thanks everyone for the offers of help and other input. I think the plan at this stage will be to move the event to the end of September but I need to agree this with my fellow Committee members, so will post up the final decision in due course.

    Cheers,

    Phil.

Err not what you were saying this am Phil … more along the lines of “I run this joint”… “Don’t need no committee to sign off on my decision”???

    * joking aside – thanks for this – appreciate the chance to give it the attention it deserves

I agree with John’s suggestion – as by then the Roth-ars may have some of their lives back and have more time to input to this.

This is too valuable an event to rush and do a poor job on – it would be a disservice to the great man’s name….
